Next Step Training’s FREE courses get you ready for the future you want by giving you the skills employers are looking for and the qualifications you need.
Our courses offer:
- Zero fees - – it is totally free!

- NZQA accredited qualifications
- High-quality tutors
As well as the NZ Certificate in Foundation Skills (Level 1) you can choose from the following industryrecognised qualifications:
- NCEA Level 2 specialising in Early Childhood Education
- NZ Certificate in Foundation Skills (Level 2).
Topics covered include:
- Producing a plan for your future
- Customer service
- Creating a CV and how to be interviewed for a job
- Budgeting
- Health and safety
- Working in a group
If you want to keep studying after you complete your course at Next Step you will have what you need to get in to most courses at Polytech.
Course Dates:
Courses start in February and finish in December.
Who Can Enrol?
Anybody aged 16 – 19 at the time they start who doesn’t have NCEA Level 2. Students who are 15 with an early leaving exemption may also be considered.
